Kami yang menandatangani surat ini, dengan suara hati
nurani kemanusiaan dan nilai-nilai universal hak asasi manusia, menyampaikan
seruan terbuka kepada Anda berdua, sebagai dua tokoh dunia yang memiliki
pengaruh besar dalam dinamika konflik di Timur Tengah, khususnya terkait
situasi tragis yang terus berlangsung di Palestina.
Apa yang terjadi di Gaza dan wilayah Palestina lainnya
bukan sekadar konflik biasa, tetapi telah menjelma menjadi tindakan sistematis
yang memenuhi unsur-unsur genosida sebagaimana didefinisikan oleh Konvensi
Genosida 1948. Pembunuhan massal terhadap warga sipil, penghancuran rumah
sakit, masjid, sekolah, dan infrastruktur sipil lainnya, serta blokade
kemanusiaan yang menyebabkan penderitaan luar biasa, adalah bentuk nyata
pelanggaran berat terhadap hukum humaniter internasional dan Deklarasi
Universal Hak Asasi Manusia.
Kami mencatat bahwa Tuan Netanyahu sebagai kepala
pemerintahan Israel, memiliki tanggung jawab langsung terhadap operasi militer
yang secara terus-menerus menargetkan warga sipil Palestina. Kami juga tidak
menutup mata terhadap dukungan politik, ekonomi, dan militer yang diberikan
oleh Amerika Serikat di bawah kepemimpinan Trump yang turut memperparah
penderitaan rakyat Palestina.
Dengan ini kami menyerukan: (1) Segera hentikan segala
bentuk kekerasan dan operasi militer yang mengakibatkan kematian warga sipil
tak bersalah di Palestina. (2) Hormati hukum internasional, termasuk hukum
perang, dan izinkan bantuan kemanusiaan masuk tanpa hambatan.
(3) Buka ruang diplomasi dan keadilan, bukan dengan
kekuatan militer, tetapi melalui penghormatan terhadap hak hidup, kebebasan,
dan martabat setiap manusia, tanpa diskriminasi. (4) Hentikan segala bentuk
dehumanisasi terhadap rakyat Palestina yang selama ini terus disudutkan,
dibungkam, dan dilucuti hak-haknya. (5) Seluruh rakyat Israel agar segera
meninggalkan bumi Palestina, sebab Israel selama ini terkategori penjajahan. Penjajah
harus keluar dari tanah jajahannya, karena penjajahan tidak sesuai dengan hukum
internasional, terlebih hukum Islam.
Kami percaya bahwa sejarah akan mencatat di sisi mana
Anda berdiri—apakah di pihak kemanusiaan dan keadilan, atau di pihak penindasan
dan kekejaman. Dan kami, bersama jutaan hati nurani di seluruh dunia, akan
terus bersuara untuk Palestina sampai keadilan ditegakkan dan penderitaan ini
berakhir.

OPEN LETTER TO BENJAMIN NETANYAHU AND DONALD TRUMP
A Call to End the Genocide Against Palestinian Muslims
To:
Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu – Prime Minister of Israel and Mr. Donald J. Trump –
Former President of the United States
We, the undersigned, guided by the conscience of
humanity and the universal values of human rights, write this open letter to
both of you as influential global figures in the ongoing conflict in the Middle
East—specifically, the tragic and worsening situation in Palestine.
What is unfolding in Gaza and other Palestinian
territories is no longer a conventional conflict; it has evolved into a
systematic campaign that fulfills the criteria of genocide, as defined by the
1948 Genocide Convention. The mass killing of civilians, the destruction of
hospitals, mosques, schools, and essential infrastructure, alongside the
humanitarian blockade that causes immense suffering, are blatant violations of international
humanitarian law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Mr. Netanyahu, as the head of the Israeli government,
bears direct responsibility for the military operations that have repeatedly
targeted innocent Palestinian civilians. Mr. Trump, your administration’s
unwavering support—political, military, and financial—has only served to
intensify the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Therefore, we urge the following : (1) Immediately
cease all forms of violence and military aggression that continue to claim the
lives of innocent civilians in Palestine. (2) Respect international law,
including the laws of war, and ensure unimpeded access to humanitarian aid.
(3) Pursue diplomacy and justice, not through weapons
and occupation, but through the recognition of every human being’s right to
life, freedom, and dignity—regardless of their nationality or religion. (4) End
the ongoing dehumanization and dispossession of the Palestinian people, who
have long been silenced and stripped of their basic rights.
(5) All Israeli citizens are urged to
immediately leave Palestinian land, as the presence of Israel has long
constituted an act of colonization. Colonizers have no legitimate claim over
the land they occupy and must withdraw, in accordance with international law—and
even more so under Islamic law, which strictly opposes any form of oppression
and unlawful occupation.
We believe history will remember where each of you
stood—on the side of justice and humanity, or on the side of oppression and
brutality. And we, along with millions of voices across the globe, will
continue to speak out for Palestine until justice is served and the suffering
ends.
